Rock on
Hey kids do NOT be mortified by your beautiful mom having a great time. She comes directly from the gene pool that produced Great Bubs who, while visiting me in Paris on Bastille Day in 1967, came with me to a dive bar on the Left Bank called “Jimmy’s Wild West Saloon”- an ironic American name for a VERY French venue- and proceeded to be swept onto the dance floor by a series of adorable young local guys. She called out to me giddily as she swooped by, “Wendy, How do you say ‘I’m a grandmother’ in French?” I replied that she was on her own! Jen- your smile and your dancing remind me so much my mom in her heyday. And, Franny and Finn, in case you are ever mortified by your mom again, I was 20 years old when we had our Bastille Day wild time and had realized that instead of being embarrassed by her I could just use her as my role model. (not that I could ever hope to achieve her level of joie de vivre even if I live to 96) Rock on, Flackett-Levins….. and Bravo.
que linda!
Sweet dance moves.
Miss you all! So many great smiles!!!!!
