It’s hard to overstate the simple unadulterated pleasure of driving around in the dying light — far beyond the reach of any cellphone tower — just searching for wild animals.

I’m reminded of the safari I took with my parents when I was twelve and the awesome joy of bouncing around in the back seat doing exactly what you’re doing. You’ve captured it perfectly. Thank you. Again.
Great everything – photography, editing, music… Loved it! Thank you.
I LOVE ZEBRAS!
And all the other wild animals whose name begins with the letter “Z”.

Well captured!
Hi- I saw you did a walking tour in Africa from an earlier post. Did you see very many animals on that as compared to the safari you mention here? Thanks! Love reading your blog!
Della,
We saw a lot of the countryside, but most of the animals we saw at some distance. They have the Big Five in Kenya which are the Lion, the Elephant, the Buffalo, the Rhino and the Leopard. All of these were best seen on a driving safari. But there are also the “Little Five”. Seriously. These are the Rhinoceros Beetle, Buffalo Weaver, Elephant Shrew, Leopard Tortoise, and the Ant Lion. And the walking safari is the only way to see these Little Five. And you also get to see the vegetation and footprints of all shapes and kinds and animal poo of every shape and kind as well. We are very glad we did both.
Wow! That was awesome!
Lovely! We got mostly the rears of animals. You got frontal views. Loved, loved the Music with itt. Nothing like safari. Hard to believe it is real unless you were there.
Sorry your year is nearly over.
