This was such a great story told in video form. What an incredible and potentially life-altering trip this is for all of you! The graciousness of your driver’s family and their beautiful welcome and smiles… wow! And the generations all living together and the arranged marriage- so different and so amazing to us.
Not all of our fellow Americans would be as instantaneously gracious to strangers as your driver and so many other people you are meeting are to you all. A shout-out to Gail, however… she has always opened her heart and home to travelers from near and far. Maybe it’s karma…..
Thanks again for taking the time to prepare these amazing postings for the rest of us. Oh, and do you think you might be adding a buffalo to graze near your treehouse when you get home????? You have a half a year to think about it.love,Aunty Wendy

Thank you, Estaban. Ecuador would not have been the same without you and your wonderful family.
For others, here is a translation of his comment: “Dear travelers, I have enjoyed every moment of your videos. We have been given an example of incredible life. I thank you for giving me the opportunity to share your experiences, and take this opportunity to wish you well and that 2013 is full of blessings and good wishes to all of you.”
What an experience, so beautifully documented. The photography and the comments brought tears to my eyes. There is no better education for ALL of us.
